Minimarg is a village in the Astore District of the Pakistani region of Gilgit-Baltistan. It is situated on the right bank of the Neelum River to the north of Taobat, approximately 190 km from the city of Gilgit.The average elevation is 2,844.6 meters above sea level.

Rainbow Lake

Rainbow lake is located in Minimarg Astore valley Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan. This lake is one of the beautiful lakes of the world with wild open area covered with lush green meadows. The lake is covered with flowers which gives such a pleasant feeling.
Astore valley is famous for tourism spots like Nanga Parbat base camp, Rama lake, Shaigiri, Rupal Peak, Chongra Peak and laila Peak. Tourists from all around the world visit this beauty icon during summer’s. The famous spot of Astorey valley is Deosai National Park or Planes.The planes are homeland of lakes, meadows, Peaks, Brown Bears and different wildlife animals. Famous birds in the park are include the Golden Eagle, Griffon Vulture, Laggar Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Snowcock.
